USD/CHF live chart

USD/CHF, sometimes called the “swissie”, shows how many Swiss franc units (CHF) one US dollar (USD) buys. When it rises, the US dollar is strengthening against the Swiss franc; when it falls, the reverse.

About USD/CHF

What moves it

The US dollar side (Federal Reserve)
Federal Reserve rate expectations, US inflation and jobs data, and global risk appetite — in stress the dollar is usually bought.
The Swiss franc side (Swiss National Bank)
Safe-haven demand during stress, SNB policy and its tolerance for franc strength, and Swiss inflation.

When it is most active

Most active during the London and New York sessions. Volume usually peaks while London and New York are both open.
