Margin calculator
See how much margin a trade ties up, and why higher leverage lets a smaller deposit control a larger — and riskier — position.

Margin = position value ÷ leverage. Maximum leverage depends on your regulator and client category — in the UK and EU, retail clients are typically limited to 30:1 on major pairs. Higher leverage does not change your risk per pip; it only lets a smaller deposit control a bigger position.
