Trading carries a high level of risk
Trading foreign exchange (forex), contracts for difference (CFDs) and other leveraged products carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for everyone. Before you trade, think carefully about your experience, your objectives and how much you can afford to lose.
Only trade with money you can afford to lose. Never trade with money you need for rent, bills, debt repayments or savings.
Leverage magnifies gains and losses
Leverage lets you control a large position with a small deposit (margin). It magnifies both gains and losses. A small price move against you can wipe out your margin, and you can lose money rapidly.
Depending on your broker's terms, your losses may exceed your deposit. Some brokers offer negative-balance protection, which limits your loss to the money in your account, but not all do, and the rules differ between regulators and account types. Check with your broker before you trade.
Many retail accounts lose money
Many retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs. Regulated brokers are usually required to publish the percentage of their own retail client accounts that lose money. Look for that figure on any broker's website, and read it before you open an account.
Nothing on this site is advice
Everything on https://www.tradebridgeib.com is general education. Nothing on the site is financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and nothing is a recommendation, offer or solicitation to buy or sell any financial instrument.
Our courses, articles, market analysis, calculators and examples are for learning only. They do not take your personal circumstances, objectives or financial situation into account.
- Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.
- Hypothetical and illustrative examples have limitations. They are prepared with the benefit of hindsight, do not involve real money, and cannot reflect real trading conditions such as slippage, spreads, liquidity, fees or the emotional pressure of live trading.
- A strategy that worked in a lesson or an example may not work for you.
If you are unsure whether trading is right for you, seek independent advice from a suitably licensed financial adviser.
What TradeBridge IB is, and is not
TradeBridge IB is a free education and introducing-broker (IB) platform. We are not a broker. We do not hold client money, we do not execute trades, and we do not provide personalised investment advice, trading signals or account-management services.
When you click a "Login" or "Open account" button, you leave our site and go to a third-party broker. Your relationship, account and money are with that broker, under its own terms and its own regulation.
Our conflict of interest
We earn money from referrals. Partner brokers pay us a commission or rebate when someone we refer opens an account and trades. This means we have a financial interest in you opening an account with a partner broker and in the trading you do there.
We aim to keep our education independent of this relationship, but you should be aware of it. Compare brokers yourself and choose the one that suits you.
Becoming a partner IB
If you join our IB programme, any commission you earn is paid by the third-party broker under that broker's own IB agreement. Commission levels are set by the broker and can change at any time.
IB commissions are not guaranteed. What you earn depends on whether the people you refer open accounts, how much they trade and the broker's terms. Our IB calculator gives illustrations only. It is not a forecast and not a promise of income.
Being an IB has its own risks. There is no fixed income, earnings can fall to zero, and promoting financial products is regulated in many countries. You are responsible for following the rules that apply to you and your audience.
Third-party market data
Live charts, tickers, heatmaps, news and the economic calendar on our site are third-party widgets supplied by TradingView. Some calculators use the European Central Bank's daily reference rates, delivered through the free Frankfurter service. We do not produce this data.
Prices and data may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Do not rely on them for trading decisions. Always check prices on your broker's own platform before you trade.
Regulation and where this site applies
Brokers are regulated by different authorities in different countries, and the level of protection varies. Before you open an account, verify the broker's licence on the regulator's own public register. Do not rely on a logo or a licence number shown on the broker's website alone.
Financial promotion in the United Arab Emirates is regulated. Onshore, the regulator is the Capital Market Authority (CMA, formerly the Securities and Commodities Authority). In the Dubai International Financial Centre, it is the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA). In Abu Dhabi Global Market, it is the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA). Other countries have their own rules.
Nothing on this site is an offer or solicitation to anyone in a jurisdiction where it would be unlawful. It is your responsibility to check that trading, and opening an account with a particular broker, is allowed where you live.
Partner IBs are responsible for complying with the financial-promotion rules that apply where they and their audience are located.
